user- settings are a simple way to manage user settings for command line application. The user-settings is a way to store the user settings for any platform mainly for command line applications. These settings are stored as a file in the user’s home directory and all methods are synchronous for simplicity. If you are using role-based access control, you must assume a role (either superuser or some other role) to perform administrative tasks. Roles are assumed by using the su command; you cannot log in to a role directly.
