Operating System

An Operating System is an integral part to any computer as any software without an Operating System is considered useless as it is essential to run a program or application. An Application Program Interface (API) is used by the applications which run on operating systems to make requests for the required services. The operating system recognizes the inputs from the input devices and sends the appropriate output to the screen, and all the peripheral devices are controlled by the operating system. A user can also interact with the operating system through a command line or using a Graphical User Interface (GUI)
