ClamAV is an cross-platform and opeClamAV was specifically developed for UNIX and now it has the third party versions for the application of several other operating systems. It is used as a server side email virus scanner as it integrates on the mail servers.The ClamAV toolkit comprises of a multi-threaded daemon, command line interface for scanning any malicious files, and an auto-update tool when connected to the internet.It is to be noted that ClamAV is only capable of deducting the viruses.
