Daemons

Daemons don’t require any specific command to kick-start its functioning as it doesn’t function under direct control of the user.  Usually, Linux Operating Systems run a daemon to contain the service requests made by other computers connected in a network. In return, the daemon program forwards these requests to the necessary programs. In a nutshell, demons are regarded as an agent which does administrative tasks for the OS.
