dmraid discovers block and software RAID devices by using multiple different metadata format handlers which support various formats. dmraid supports highpoint hpt37x/hpt45x, intel software raid, lsi logic megaraid, silicon image(tm) medley(tm), promise fasttrack, nvidia nforce raid (nvraid), and through software raid. dmraid allows detection of settings, configuration of RAID DRIVERS, activation and deactivation of the RAID space.
