DNS Zone

In a nutshell, DNS Zone is a part of the DNS namespace which is delegated to other servers or administrators. A DNS zone is generally authorized by a legal entity or a large organization, or even a company which is registered to use a certain sub domain within the system. Based on the authorizing authority, a DNS zone can have several subdomains under it, which may even be further branched out to several other sub domains.
