Ffmpeg is a free software project which creates libraries and programs for managing multimedia data. Ffmpeg is used for the conversion of multimedia files into other formats. Ffmpeg is designed with certain features such as libavcodec, an audio/video codec library used by several other projects, libavformat, an audio/video container mux and demux library, and the ffmpeg command line program for transcoding multimedia files.FFmpeg tries lossless conversion on a multimedia files, although it doesn’t assure absolute lossless conversion. It uses the same audio and video parameters for the outputs as the one specified for the inputs.
