Hiawatha is a light weight webserver and its small size makes it more efficient and perfect for the embedded or less powerful systems. It has the ability to stop the attacks from SQL, XSS and DoS attacks by banning the clients or CGI run time. Hiawatha servers function can be monitored by the administrator with the help of the Hiawatha monitoring tool. It supports URL rewriting, reverse proxy and Chroot support. It speeds up the browser speed by internal caches, request pipeline, keep-alive connection and GZip content encoding concepts.
