Rewriterule

Rewriterule is one of the powerful ways to manipulate the URLs through an unlimited number of rules.  It allows the users to rewrite the URL based server variables, environment variables and HTTP headers. The user can create fancy, redirect pages, SEO friendly URL's and prevent hot linking with this command line. The rewrite rule can be invoked from the httpd.conf or in .htaccess.  It generates the URL path that leads to internal sub-processing, external request redirection and an internal proxy throughput.
