SSL

Allows secure transactions between browsers and web servers. SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer protocol, which ensures transactions in a safe and secure manner. For the identification of those transactions, it uses a third party called CA (Certificate Authority). It provides authentication at the time of client-server communication. The two methods of authentication used are one-way SSL authentication and two-way SSL authentication. An SSL certificate lets the user to create a secure connection and to encrypt information of the sites. It is needed, when the user wants a conversion of the site from HTTP to HTTPS.
