Traffic

The term traffic is used for analyzing the performance and speed of the network or a computer. In case there is a high rate of data communication at a particular point of time, it may lead to slowing down of the network. This is called as high traffic period. It happens when the network is not adequate for the data load.  Too much of network traffic may lead to malfunction of the network device. Network traffic can be monitored by analyzing the combined response times of all the major access points of the network. If the response time is long, it is an indication of heavy or high traffic.
