VoIP

VoIP, abbreviated as Voice over IP, is generally used for any voice communication in the internet.  It allows two way communications via the internet. It is cost efficient compared to conventional phone call, as the cost isn’t defined by the geographical distance between the communicators.  It is also called as IP telephony or broadband telephony. There isn’t a dedicated path in between the sender and the receiver, and the bandwidth is adjusted according to the call.
