Xen is an open-source virtual machine monitor that behaves as a traffic cop. Co-ordination of requests and directing hardware access are the major tasks performed by this hypervisor. It is normally operated on large servers and mainframes and it offers tolerance against hardware and dynamic faults. It is mainly noted for its scalability and it is being ported to the processors like ARM, PowerPC and Intel and MIPS
