Bash stands for Bourne Again Shell and it has an unique feature that it facilitates a command line editing. It is an sh-compatible shell of GNU project. The bash script is a normal text file containing a series of commands. It is a complete implementation of the IEEE Portable Operating System Interface for Unix (POSIX) and Open Group shell specification.
