pv command

pv command provides the information  about elapsed time, percentage completed, current throughput rate, ETA and the total data transferred during any process. This command is mainly used in monitoring the system process while taking backups, copying /moving larger files and folders to the desired location. To use this command, create a pipeline between the two source files. If the input file is not mentioned then it will copy the data’s from the standard input file.
