Setfacl (Set File Access Control Lists)

Setfacl (Set File Access Control Lists) is used to set the permissions for a given file or directory and getfacl is used to access them. Syntax: setfacl [-bdhkn] [-a position entries] [-m entries] [-M acl_file] [-x entries | position] [-X acl_file] [file ...]. An Access Control List (ACL) consists of entries specifying access permissions for any user or group for file systems and directories. ACLs can be configured for different user(u), group (g), other (o) or the effective rights mask (m). Each file and directory in a Linux filesystem can have different file permissions for its access for different users and groups. The Access Control List ACL can be configured using the setfacl (Set File Access Control Lists) command.
