How to install Feren OS
Feren OS is a desktop Linux distribution which is based on Linux Mint and the Cinnamon desktop environment. It has wine application in-built to install windows applications. This tutorial explains the installation procedure of Feren OS.
Installation procedure
To start the installation procedure, first download the Feren OS ISO image from the following link.
After downloading the ISO image, make a bootable DVD or pendrive and boot the file
The ISO image is booted. Select the start Feren OS option.
Now the welcome screen appears. Click Install now to start the installation process.
Select the language to continue the installation process.
Enable to install the various addon packages and click continue to go tto next page of the installation wizard.
Select the installation type as something else to manually create the partititon table and click continue.
Create the partition table by selecting the New partition table option.
Select the free space to create partitions.
Create the boot partition as primary partition and click ok to make the changes.
Next create the swap partition also as primary and provide a size for the partition and click ok.
Now create the root partition with the remaining memory space as the root partition memory and click ok to make the changes.
After creating all partitions, click install now option.
Select the desired location and click continue option.
Select the keyboard layout as the user desires and click continue option.
Create a user account by providing details regarding the user name and also provide a strong password and then click continue option.
The installation is in progress and the user may have to wait for some time.
The installation is completed. click restart now option to restart the target system.
After restarting, the Feren OS leads to the Login screen, where the user can provide the password credentials to gain access to the system.
The Feren OS Games is shown as below.
The Wine application contains a suite of wine applications for the user to use the application.
Next, Preferences can be viewed that contains the basic applications to run the system.
