How to install XiX Music Player in Ubuntu

To install XiX Music Player in Ubuntu 16.04

XiX is an open-source, lightweight music player that has support for most popular architectures. It support various formats of music files like, MP3, OGG, M4A, FLAC. It is used for creating playlists, reverse play, copy/delete/rename function, download podcasts, shuffle and repeat, etc. Installation of XiX Music player in Ubuntu is explained in this manual.

To install XiX Player

Before installing the XiX music player, add the following repositories into it.

Now lets install the XiX media player with the help of the apt-get command.

In the dash board search for the XiX music player, and click on the icon to open it.

Next do the basic configuration for xix music player, Select your preferred language and click Next.

Now add the folders to the watch list and click next.




Now the xix-music player is ready to use.

For removing the xix-music-player, type the following command.

root@linuxhelp1:~# apt-get remove xix-media-player-qt -y
