yeah.. it's Possible.. but mounted volumes won't reflect unless you re-mount the volume with new vgname
command ==> vgrename old-vgname new-vgname

How to rename Volume group in LVM without unmount
I need to change the name of the Volume group. Now I need to rename the Volume group. Is that possible to do so without un mounting that group...??
