ProFTPD is an FTP daemon for Linux and other UNIX like OS. ProFTPD has a feature rich FTP server thus exposing a wide range of configuration options to the users. Although it is a powerful and configurable program, it isn’t necessarily the lightest ftp server available for virtual servers. ProFTPD is free & open-source, released under the GPL license, which is a FTP server for Unix/Linux servers. It is easily configurable and very effective.
