Background Process killer

To kill any process, you can configure through WHM and the notification will be sent to your mail when it finds any process. Here the list of malicious process are displayed. Generally the Malicious process generates the unwanted process to run in the server.

If you terminate all the malicious process then it wont affect the server.

It is recommended to select all the process

Once the set up is done and if there are some process is waiting for response to run server, then it automatically terminate it and the notification will be sent to your registered email id.

root, mysql, named, cpanel, and users with UIDs below 99 is considered trusted and it does not be added to the list.

Now select all the services and click save. In order to prevent the process from being terminated for single user, enter the name of the user in Trusted user' s which is optional. Here we have entered example1 as the user name, so the list of process wont be terminated for example1 user alone.

Click save to make changes

Process Manager

Process Manager handles all the current running process with the process id. In the pid, you can find out two options like trace and kill.

If you want trace any particular process, click trace. Now its starts to trace the process from where it is running.

In order to kill any process, just click kill. You can also kill process by user name. Here we have selected nscd ( user name ) and click Kill user' s process, then it kills all the process with that user name.

Show current disk usage

Here we can display the list of disk usage.

Show current running process

It displays all the current running process with only the process and its UID. It is just similar to the process manager.

To sort in ascending or descending order, you can click on the name tab and it displays in ascending order and click again to view in descending order.
