SETU VFX is a range of multi-channel SIP gateway offering seamless connectivity between VoIP and PSTN networks. This tutorial covers the method to create extension on Matrix device communicate with Elastix.
We Assume that you have a elastix already running, Now access the Elastix console using the IP address
Select the SIP device for creating a new extension on Elastix.
Enter the Extension details which we are going to create
Configure the Secret authentication password for an extension.
Click on Apply config, after entering the details for an extension
In my case, I already configured the MATRIX SETU VFXTH on server, open a configuration console using the IP address
Click on IP under the security alert.
You can see the Login authentication page of MATRIX device.
After the successful login, we can see the Welcome page of MATRIX device configuration.
Choose FXS Port in Basic setting to configure the extension.
Choose a certain Port number Which will be allocated to the newly creating extension.
Configured the Extension on FXS port as shown below.
Configure destination port number and Route call fixed port number.
Choose the Port number to be allocate for an extension.
Choose the Network as on Subscriber type.
After the configuration click submit.
Then we will choose to configure the SIP Trunk for new extension.
Configured the Extension on SIP port as shown below.
If you configured Proxy on your network, please follow the steps as given below (or) else choose Peer-to-Peer for doesn’t have any Proxy server.
Then go to the Elastix extension list.
Choose an Extension in List of extension.
Copy and Paste the Password as follow.
Configure Server address:port, So I have to give my Elastix server IP address.
Configure destination port number and Route call fixed port number.
Choose the Port number to be allocate for an extension.
Once complete the configuration for SIP and FXS on MATRXI device, check the status for extension, choose Status -> SIP Trunk -> where you can see the status of chosen Port number.
After the configuration on MATRIX device, need to check the extension status on Elastix, go to the Elastix console.
Open an Operator panel.
Now we can see the status of nee extension on Elastix.
