Qmmp is an open-source and cross-platform audio player based on Qt. Qmmp is s simple to install music player and we have already covered the installation of Qmmp application on Ubuntu. In this article, you will be briefed about the installation of Qmmp on Debian 8.3

Installing Qmmp

Make sure you add the repository for Qmmp before you begin the installation of Qmmp. Use the following command to open the apt sources.list in which the repository should be added.

root@linuxhelp:~# nano /etc/apt/sources.list

Add the following lines at the end of the file.

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main

Once it is added, update the system with the help of following command.

root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get update
