Unity Tweak tool is a popular settings manager used to customize the Ubuntu Desktop. User can change the whole desktop environment with different themes and icons. Installation of Unity Tweak tool on Ubuntu is explained in this article.
Installation of Unity Tweak Tool
First add the repository files to install unity tweak tool.

If you want to install unity tweak tool in a graphical way, then open Ubuntu software centre. Search unity tweak tool and click Install option.
After installed successfully, type unity-tweak-tool in the search bar to open the tool.
Home page of unity tweak tool will display as shown below.
Here you can customize your desktop environment, click Launcher icon.
In launcher, you can change the appearance of the desktop with customized colors.
Next, click on theme icon to change theme.
Select any one of the theme in the listed themes.
Next click on icon to change icon view.
Select any icon type from the list.
Next click on cursor icon to change the cursors.
Here select cursor type to change the desktop view.
Shell theme – Stored or installed in ~/.themes/ directory. Shell themes are themes for the shell.
GTK3 theme – Stored or installed in /usr/share/themes/ directory. GTK3 themes are themes for applications.
Media Player Classic: While playing a file, click on 'Play' in the top menu, then move your mouse onto 'Filters' in the drop down menu.
GraphStudioNext: Start GraphStudioNext. Drag and drop a file into the window. A graph will be build showing all filters that are used to play the file.
ZoomPlayer: While playing a file, right-click on ZoomPlayer. In the menu that appears, click on 'Filter Properties', then on 'Graph Information'.
BS.Player: While playing a file, right-click on BS.Player. In the menu that appears, click on 'options', then on 'Filters'.
