How to reset root password from GRUB or else any tool available for reset purpose...???

Follow the steps to reset root password...

  1. Once GRUB window appears, press up-arrow or down-arrow keys to select boot.
  2. Press 'a' to enter modify kernel arguments.
  3. There you can see rhgb quiet line, type 1 at last and hit enter.
  4. It boots in a single user mode.
  5. One logged in, change the password using passwd command.
