Its very easy just enter the command of set new pasword and use "# smbpasswd -a username" and then click ok your pasword will be reset.

You may try below command...after execute the command now enter new password...

# smbpasswd -a username

I don't know much as it is not my field of study but i think it may be work using # smbpasswd -a username
