Calibre is an open-source book management software which has support for multiple platforms such as Linux, Windows and Mac OS. Installing Calibre is so simple, and this article explains the method to install Calibre on Debian 8.3
Installing Calibre
Make sure you add the repository of Calibre on your system before you begin the installation of Calibre. Use the following command to open the apt sources.list in which the repository has to be added.
root@linuxhelp:~# nano /etc/apt/sources.list
Once it is opened, add the following lines at end of the file.
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main
After adding the lines save and exit from the file.
Now, use the following command to update the apt sources-list.
root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get update
