To install Claws mail 3.16.0 on Ubuntu 18.04

Claws Mail is a fast, light-weight, and open source email client and a news reader built based on GTK+. It offers easy configuration and user-friendly features. Although it is primarily built for Linux, it can also be used for Windows users through a port, with an experimental 64-bit version. In this tutorial, we will see the installation of claws-mail 3.16.0. On Ubuntu 18.04

Installation

Download the Claws mail Debian package using wget command from the terminal as follows.

After installation, you can access the claws-mail from the Ubuntu menu.

After opening the application you will see the claws-mail setup wizard.


Now setup the user details and click on forward.


And then you have to Make configuration for the receiving mail.



Assign a name for mailbox and click forward.

Click on save when all the configuration are finished.


Now we get into a Claws mail application.
