To install FreeOffice in Ubuntu 16.04
SoftMaker FreeOffice 2016 is a cross-platform, free, for both home and office. It is a complete office suite with a word processor, a spreadsheet application and a presentation program. It can also run from USB flash drives and supports integrated reference works. It also contains its own file format but also changes the file format to RTF or HTML or even export to PDF format. This tutorial covers the ground on the installation process of FreeOffice in Ubuntu 16.04.
Installation procedure
To proceed with the installation procedure, go to its official site of FreeOffice and signup to download the FreeOffice installation package and the product key will be sent to the registered e-mail. Now download the package in the terminal by executing the wget command along with the download link.

The package has been downloaded in the system. Install the FreeOffice application using dpkg command followed by the downloaded debian package.

Now the dependency problem is solved and the FreeOffice is successfully installed. To run the application, type the FreeOffice name in the Ubuntu dashboard and click on the FreeOffice Text Maker to run the application.
When opening the application for the first time, you need to enter the product key that you will receive in your mail while signing up in its official site. Enter the product key.
