Installing Google Calendar Indicator
First, open up a terminal window and run the following commands to add the PPA.

Once Google Calendar Indicator is installed, you can start it from Unity Dash.
In the window that appears, you need to log in using mail id.
And click on the Allow button.
Now, you can see that the option to add an event to Google Calendar is now available at the system tray.
You can choose the date from the calendar and add your event.
