To install Kadu on Debian 8.3

Kadu is an open-source and multi-platform instant messaging client. Kadu is a simple to install tool, and we have already covered the installation method involved with Kadu on Debian 8.3.

Installing Kadu

Before installing Kadu, make sure you add its repository. Use the following command to open the apt sources.list file in which you should add the repository.

root@linuxhelp:~# nano /etc/apt/sources.list

Once it is opened, add the following lines to the end of the file.

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main

After that, use the following command to update the system.

root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get update
