To install KeePass2 in Debian 8.3
KeePass2 is multi-platform password manager which lets the users to protect their passwords. Installing KeePass2 is an easy task, and this article sheds light on the installation of KeepPass2 in Debian.
Install KeePass2
First, make sure you add the repository in the sources.list file. Use the following command for the same purpose.
root@linuxhelp:~# nano /etc/apt/sources.list
Now add following lines at end of the file.
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main
After adding the line, save and exit the file.
Once it is done, update the apt sources-list as follows.
root@linuxhelp:~# apt-get update

Configure the local security policy of the system to allow FIPS non-compliant algorithm implementations. To do this, go to Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Local Security Policy, open Local Policies → Security Options, and change the option 'System cryptography:
Copy/install KeePass 2.x onto a local hard disk, and run the copy.
It can also import KeePass 1 (.kdb) databases.
