Say Hi to Ubuntu's new mascot

Ubuntu has recently revealed its new desktop background, something that is very modern. It is to be noted that, each new Ubuntu release ships with a new desktop wallpaper (except for Ubuntu 14.10) and in that line, Ubuntu 19.04 comes up with brand new desktop wallpaper.

Although this custom of Ubuntu's new desktop wallpaper for every new version release seems to be of a design tradition, it actually helps easily identify the version. This time, it is the Disco Dingo Wallpaper, which was recently revealed. Earlier, Ubuntu's cute Cosmic Cuttlefish wallpaper was very much liked by the users, but the creative bods at Canonical have had a crack at it anyway.

As a result of their diligent designing is the recently unveiled Disco Dingo mascot. Looks great, right?

The orange purple gradient keeps things looking familiar and Ubuntu-ish, and there’s greater use of symmetry In the lines and folds backing this wallpaper compared to the past few. You can download the official Ubuntu 19.04 wallpaper direct from Launchpad, where it’s available in 4K resolution and in a greyscale variant.
