I want to move my office's computers to Linux. We have spent too much time and money battling to get Microsoft programs to work. However, I first want to use my home Laptop as a guinnea pig to see how switching to Linux will go.
I would just like some help with the following: How will I access my documents, saved games and programs once I install Linux? Will everything still be in the folders where they were under Windows? Will I need to reinstall all the programs?
Any advice on this will be appreciated as well as any advice on the process of installing Linux and making it the default OS.
